These Fair Trade mandala roundies are handmade by Indian artisans from the city of Jaipur. Each roundie purchased empowers Indian artisans to earn a fair and sustainable income, and to preserve their cultural heritage.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The word mandala is of Sanskrit origin and represents a circular design symbolizing eternity, unity, completeness and the Universe. It reminds us of our relation to infinity, and is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism.
Block printing by hand is a traditional heritage craft of the region of Jaipur, in Northern India. Each motifs are traced and chipped by hand to create a stamp. Artisans use natural dyes and each colour pattern is stamped one by one onto the fabric. This process takes great skills and time. Small variations in the printing add to the unique charm of these timeless beauties.

CONSIDERATIONS
Due to hand block printing process, there might be slight imperfections, such as small dye runs, tiny paint spots, or small smudges. This is very rare, but unavoidable due to the nature of the printing process, though keeping in mind that slight flaws are part of their uniqueness. Please bear in mind that photo may slightly differ from actual item in terms of colour due to the natural lightning during photoshooting or the monitor's display.
